A clarification on gold
Gold is not the wealth. Gold is the witness. We carry the witness, not the price.
Recent inquiries have asked whether the gold leaf affixed to each standard represents an investment vehicle. It does not. The leaf is a witness — a material that does not corrode, does not fade, does not lie.
We selected gold because it remembers. A standard buried in soil for a century will be lifted from that soil unchanged. That is the only property of the metal that interests us.
Citizens are reminded: the standard is not for sale, not for resale, and not for collateral. It is for carrying.
